Ashneel Nand

Ashneel Nand is a Solicitor at Patel Nand Legal, having joined the firm in September 2024. He was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand in March 2025 and currently practices in the areas of criminal law and civil litigation.

Before relocating to New Zealand, Ashneel practised law in Fiji for 12 years, where he was admitted to the bar in 2012 and served as a partner at his own firm. He continues to hold a current practising certificate in Fiji and remains actively involved in litigation there. His experience includes appearances before the Fiji Supreme Court and Fiji Court of Appeal, where he has represented clients in both criminal and civil matters.

Ashneel is known for his analytical approach and strong legal research capabilities. He maintains a keen interest in legislative reform and emerging developments in case law, ensuring his advice is both current and strategically informed.

He is fluent in Hindi and is well regarded by clients and colleagues alike for his professionalism, work ethic, and collaborative nature.
